With simple modern furniture in rich, warm colours, the guestrooms all have cable television, telephones, safes, and private bathrooms with hairdryers.<br> Small tables draped with crisp white tablecloths make for intimate dinners in the candlelit restaurant, which offers home cooked French cuisine alongside local specialties of Brussels and accompanied by fine wines. In the bar of the Van Belle, easy chairs and low level lighting create an informal setting in which to enjoy snacks and sandwiches and drinks in the evenings.<br> The Van Belle Hotel, Brussels, has a lobby lounge where guests can relax in front of the television and those with cars can rely on secure onsite parking (surcharge). The hotel offers its guests free transfers from Midi railway station and lifts to the city's impressive main square in the evenings (should be booked in advance). The sights of are within easy reach of the hotel thanks to the city's efficient tram system, although many are an easy walk away. The Gueuze working brewery museum and the main shopping area are all within a kilometre. The rambling flea market and the museum district are about two kilometres from the hotel. Brussels Zavantem airport is 20 kilometres and about a 40 minute journey away. Airport City Express trains to the city depart approximately every 10 30 minutes to Brussels' Midi station.
